The International Public Policy and Management (IPPAM) Program in the School of Public Policy, Planning and Development at the University of Southern California is hosting a distinguished delegation of government officials from the City of Shenzhen for a 4-week executive workshop on Urban Sustainability and Government Effectiveness. Attached is a list of the delegation members. The delegates represent many different departments and agencies. They have been very eager to discuss and address the major policy issues and challenges faced by their agencies as they seek to strengthen economic development and urban and social services in Shenzhen.
The IPPAM Program hosted a closing ceremony and luncheon for the officials on Friday, September 1,2006. The ceremony hosted by Professor Glenn Melnick, Director of the IPPAM Program and Blue Cross of California Chair at USC and Professor Koichi Mera from the USC Marshall School of Business.
The closing ceremony and luncheon held from 12:00-2:00 pm at the USC University Club (near Exposition and Figueroa).
